ABOUT ME

Hello and thank you for visiting my blog.

My name is Gustave ELLA-MENYÉ, and I am a 63-year-old English teacher, born into a bilingual English and French family, with more than 30 years of experience in the field of language education.

My English teaching journey began over three decades ago, working with occasional English learners, individuals eager to improve their language skills for personal or professional growth. For five years, I had the privilege of helping these learners gain confidence and fluency.

I then transitioned to the corporate world, where I spent almost 25 years training business professionals. This phase of my career allowed me to deeply understand the specific language needs of companies and their staff, tailoring my teaching to meet real-world, professional demands.

Four years ago, seeking a new challenge, I decided to bring my experience into the world of higher education. Since then, I have been working with university students, helping them build the linguistic and communicative skills they need for academic and future professional success.

This blog is both a reflection of my teaching journey and a space to share insights, resources, ad thoughts on language education. As I continue my work in higher education, I look forward to closing this rich professional chapter by focusing entirely on this final, inspiring population of learners.

Thank you for being here, and I hope you find something valuable and inspiring in these pages.
