SUCCEED IN YOUR JOB INTERVIEW
BEFORE I EXPAND ON THIS POST, LET ME CLARIFY SOMETHING HERE: when applying for a job, regardless of the type of job, put a photo of yourself on your CV, regardless of what you look like! Be realistic: the future employer for whom you applied will eventually notice you if you are chosen at the end of the selection process. So why hide your photo from them? This doesn't make sense! Admit who you are physically if it is not a problem for them to hire you, if you are not physically exposed as a primary condition of your recruitment.
REMEMBER THIS: you will stand out thanks to your hard skills, your know-how and your soft skills in line with the advertised position, added to all that your mad skills, if there are any.
LET ME JUST GIVE YOU SOME HANDS-ON EXAMPLES HERE Let me just give you some hands-on examples here
A) HARD SKILLS: represent your diplomas, tests or exams obtained. You present the background and your experience which have made you the specialist that you are in line with the profession practiced. List the skills you have acquired throughout your studies, internships and professional experiences. The whole kit and caboodle will be saved in your CV so that the recruiter can see what you have achieved in line with the advertised position.
B) KNOW-HOW: it represents the experience of a year that a person has spent in a company and he expertise that results from these long years
C) SOFT SKILLS/SOCIAL SKILLS/INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: they represent your personality to be highlighted in line with the advertised position. For example, a person's ability to manage a team, communicate with colleagues, crunch numbers as best as possible, do good work, and achieve results.
D) MAD SKILLS: they represent your creative side, if in addition to being a Human Resources Manager, you can create tailor-made training actions for each socio-professional category of your company without having to subcontract them to a business management consulting firm.
ALLOW ME ALSO TO MENTION THE IMPETUS that you must give as a candidate to the company to put all the chances on your side. Exemplification: I may not yet have all the experience required for the position, however, I am the one you are looking for to boost your business even more / Being highly motivated to progress in a company like yours, I am more than willing to show my courage, hard work and results-oriented spirit / I am the candidate you are looking for to take your company to the next level of rigor, achievement and quality
EVEN IF YOU ARE A BEGINNER, that is to say, little professional experience acquired, you must highlight your main characteristics which can be an asset in your future position. Exemplification: I have an inquisitive mind, always looking for ideas to make my position as effective as possible / I am a results-oriented person who never settles for less when a higher goal is within reach through hard work / I am a fast and furious person, which means I am known for my drive to move forward by creating an environment conducive to achieving results and fostering friendliness and communication among staff members
